Woodpecker Reserve is a 33-hectare sanctuary protected by a Costa Rican family since 1968. Located in a transition zone between cloud, rain and dry forest, the reserve protects extraordinary biodiversity and offers experiences designed to inspire, educate and strengthen the connection between people and nature.

We did the night tour and it was really cool. Saw the a tarantula that is the second largest in the world, toucans, and other interesting things. This is a family run business that was started by the grandfather who wanted to preserve the land.
